Welcome to our School Website

A warm welcome to SS Peter and Paul. This website is designed to give you a snapshot of the school that the children, staff, parents and governors are very proud of. It is an opportunity for the school to share the learning of our pupils, capture their experiences and to keep you informed and involved with everyday school life.

At SS Peter and Paul, we ensure that children receive an education that will enable them to achieve their academic potential and progress confidently into the next phase of their education, by promoting the Gospel Values and learning through positive experiences in a nurturing environment. Personal development is at the centre of everything we do. We believe that by giving our children a wealth of opportunities to develop personal skills such as resilience, curiosity, determination and confidence, along with an understanding of the Gospel Values of honesty, compassion, forgiveness, humility, integrity and service, we will enable them to deal effectively with the challenges that the modern world presents and become good global citizens.

At SS Peter and Paul, we recognise that children are unique individuals with specific talents and needs.  We provide a varied and engaging curriculum, including the opportunity for visitors to come and work with the children, and for the children to visit places of interest linked to their learning. Our location, close to the city centre and university, means that we have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities including theatre trips and various sporting activities. The children’s learning is greatly enhanced by these opportunities and the other extra-curricular opportunities offered within school.

To ensure that we continually challenge ourselves to provide the best education possible, we work in partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Clifton, the Bristol Local Authority and the Emmaus Partnership, which includes schools from Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Bath. These partnerships allow us to share good practice and provide an opportunity to review our approaches to teaching and learning on a regular basis.
